Friday, 2/1/08 Reported By: Grant

When I got to school at 7:25 a.m played until the bell rang.  When the bell rang my teacher, Ms. Jensen, got us to go upstairs to our classroom.  When we got in our classroom we had to do our D.O.L (Daily Oral Language) for today. After, we had to get out our Spelling Book to let Ms. Jensen check. Then, Ms. Jensen talked to us about Sunday’s hospitality that we are going to lead it.

After the talk we did our Spelling Test. We had 30 words to spell. “ Wow what a lot of words!”  Then, my classmates corrected their Math homework while I did my homework.  I didn’t correct homework because I’m ahead in Math.  After they corrected their homework, we all corrected a Math worksheet.  Then my class did a Math test while I did my Math homework.  Before we went to recess we did Mr. Gallon Man.  Mr. Gallon Man is a man made out of gallons, quarts, pints, and cups.  Then, we cleaned up for recess.

At recess the teachers did a Chubby Bunny.  Chubby Bunny is a contest when people put marshmallows in their mouths.  The teachers who did Chubby Bunny were Miss Huddleston, Ms. Contreras, Miss Rowland, Miss Caulfield, Ms. Jensen, and Mr. Gerson.  Ms. Jensen won!  After she won she said to our class, “ I have a big mouth.”  Ms. Jensen gave us snacks.

After recess we went to mass that we led.  The part I did was a petition.  Seven other people did petitions and two people did readings.  The petition I did was,  “For people whose New Year has begun.”  The mass was a success.  After we went back to our classroom to get our stuff and go home.  Since it was a half day we got off of school at 12:00 p.m.  “ Wow what another nice day of school!”

I really enjoyed reading all about your day, Grant. Sounds like you are having a great time in fourth grade. Keep up the good work.
