T.G.I.F! (Thank Goodness it’s Friday). I got to school a little early today. As always Ms. Jensen came downstairs to collect her fifth grade class. When we came into the classroom, we read the Morning Message and then began unpacking our bags and putting away our books. There was a Time For Kids magazine on our desk so we began reading it. There was a worksheet that went along with the magazine. When we finished with the worksheet it was time to correct our spelling and word study homework. After we corrected our homework we took our spelling test. Then we read our story for the week one more time, and took our reading test. Finally it was snack time.
Once snack was over, I had finished my reading test so; I got to do my job for the class. My job as the Future Fish librarian is to label the books correctly and put the books on the right shelves, my other librarians (Selena and Sydni) helped me out a lot. By the time Ms. Jensen told us to return to our seats everybody had finished their test. It was now time for math. During math time, we cut fractions pieces while listening to music, this part of math I enjoyed. We also took notes during math. Todays math lesson was all about fractions. Fractions are very useful when dealing with food. Once we finished taking notes there was still about five minutes to get ahead in our homework. By the time we finished everything everybody’s tummy was rumbling. It was time for lunch.
Sadly all good things must come to an end but often the end leads to another fun event. In this case that means lunch finished, but we had an extra thirty minutes of P.E. (Physical Education). During physical education I played volleyball with about eleven fifth graders and one fourth grader. Once we finished playing we went inside and started finishing up the movie called The Miracle Worker. The movie we watched was the story of Helen Keller’s life. We watched it until there were only five minutes till the day would be over. This wraps up the week. Looking forward to another great week.
